Manasseh Azure Awuni has added his voice to the helplessness faced by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the face of his earlier opposition to the passing of E-levy.
It’s on record that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia voiced his opposition to the taxation on mobile transfers a few months ago prior to it’s passing in parliament and eventual signing into law by President Akufo-Addo.
The vice president believed the chunk of mobile money users were people who can are struggling to survive in this dire economy.
Manasseh Azure Awuni who shares the same opinion with Dr. Bawumia wrote on his Facebook timeline.
“Dr. Bawumia sees them as poor people who should not be taxed. Akufo-Addo sees them as “an industry” that must be milked. Poor DMB!”
DMB is the acronym for Doctor Mahamudu Bawumia as Manasseh Azure Awuni put it.
